Vineyard Theatre has announced a two-week extension for Greg Pierce and John Kander's new musical The Landing, starring Tony and Emmy winner David Hyde Pierce and Julia Murney, in advance of its October 23 opening. Directed by Tony winner Walter Bobbie, the musical is now scheduled to run through November 24 at the off-Broadway theatre.
In addition to Pierce and Murney, the cast of The Landing also features Paul Anthony Stewart and Frankie Seratch. The musical marks the first collaboration between composer Kander and librettist Pierce and is centered around characters who explore what it means to get what they think they want. The show consists of three thematically-connected tales of desire, love, and loss.
The Landing includes scenic design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by Michael Krass, choreography by Josh Rhodes, music direction by David Loud and orchestrations by Larry Hochman.
